Branding Café Pablo
In 2024, together with Grupo Goût Rouge, Mariona Agency created the visual identity of Café Pablo, chef Romain Fornell’s dining space at the Museu Picasso in Barcelona: a bistro inspired by the bohemian Paris of the 1930s to the 1950s, from the logo to the menu and the signage.

Identity
Paris, inside the Museu Picasso.
A bistro of the 1930s to the 1950s, with its artistic melancholy and unhurried elegance. The brand translates that memory into a fine line, a circular seal and velvet colours.

System and applications
A bistro you can read in every detail.
Art and gastronomy at the same table, served with a memory of Paris.
The project
The challenge
Café Pablo was opening inside the Museu Picasso in Barcelona, among stone walls with centuries of history and before an audience that comes to look at art. The brand had to live up to the setting and to Romain Fornell’s cooking, and make the visit to the museum something to savour as well.
The approach
Mariona Agency took its inspiration from the bohemian Paris of the 1930s to the 1950s and from classic French bistros, where elegance lives alongside a certain artistic melancholy. The logo, with its fine, high-contrast line, comes with a circular seal and a palette of whites, blacks, burgundies and deep greens that speaks to the stone, the velvet and the marble of the space.
The result
An identity that runs through the whole restaurant: stationery, menu, signage totem, textile applications and brand guidelines for social media. The branding works as an extension of the space, a place where art and gastronomy are in conversation.
