Product and brand photography

Images that show something distinctive about the brand.

At Mariona Agency we see photography as part of communication. We produce product shoots, campaign images and brand content with art direction tied to how they will be used. From Barcelona, we connect preparation, production and selection to deliver a consistent set of images, designed for the website, the catalogue or the agreed channels.

The image is prepared before the shoot

A photograph can be attractive and still not work where it has to appear. Framing, orientation and space for text determine how useful it is. So does the way it shows a material, a proportion or a feature of the product.

We define what each image has to say and how it will relate to the others. We prepare references for light, mood and composition, and plan the shots needed. That work lets us make the most of the shoot without losing consistency or relying on crops that weaken the image later.

How we think about photography

An attractive photo may not work where it has to appear.

We plan light, framing and space with each image’s final home in mind.

The series works in every use and shows something distinctive about the brand.

Animation: the same photo, cropped without a plan, doesn’t fit the website, the catalogue or social media; the framing is prepared with its light and its space for text, and the shoot produces a series in which every image fits its place.

Clear Flow and Human First

Clear Flow

A well-prepared shoot avoids repeats and forced crops. We define the shot list, formats and uses before the shoot, so every image arrives where it will be published, ready to do its job.

Human First

We photograph for the person who will look at the image and make a decision based on it: a customer comparing options, someone discovering the brand. We show the product faithfully, without promising what it isn’t.

What we work on

  1. Concept and art direction

We establish the visual intention and its relationship with the brand. Decisions on setting, styling and the treatment of light respond to the message and the product.

  2. Shoot preparation

We organise the products, location needs and shot list. We consider output formats and the details that need to be documented for each application.

  3. Photo production

We coordinate the shoot according to the agreed plan, taking care of continuity and accuracy. Equipment and specialist needs are matched to the nature of the production.

  4. Selection and post-production

We review the material as a series and prepare the planned adjustments. Colour, contrast and retouching must stay consistent and respect the characteristics the image shows.

An image library built for its intended use

The result is organised for the people who will use it: the agreed selection, formats, resolutions and adaptations. Good planning can cover both campaign needs and ongoing content. From the start, we also define the intended uses of the images and any permissions or rights that need to be managed for the production.

How we develop the shoot

  1. Understand

We review the brand, the product, references and publishing channels.

  2. Clarify

We define the visual language and the role of each group of images.

  3. Design

We prepare framing, resources and the shot plan for the production.

  4. Refine

We select and adjust the material, reviewing it as a whole.

  5. Launch

We deliver the images in the agreed formats and versions.

Web and photography

Macbor

For Macbor we brought web design and development together with the photography of its range. The art direction of the images was planned alongside its digital applications, so every model is presented with one consistent approach.

Questions about photography

Can you prepare images for several channels in one shoot?

Yes, if it is planned. It is worth defining in advance the orientations, framing and space each application needs, so the production can respond to those differences.

Do you work with the real product?

Yes. The photography starts from the product and the agreed production conditions. Any virtual element or alteration that affects how the product is represented must be explicitly defined and reviewed.

What is delivered at the end?

The selection and the versions set out in the scope, with their resolutions and processing. Volume, formats and uses are agreed before the shoot; delivery of every raw file is not assumed.
